Vic Tarasik

Technician, shop owner, author, photographer, lover of classic cars…these are some of the words used to describe Vic Tarasik. His career began in Western NY pumping gas, wrenching on and racing muscle cars.
In 1987 Vic opened a shop in his home garage and grew it to a fourteen-bay automotive maintenance and repair facility located in The Woodlands, Texas. After nearly 30 years of successful operation, Vic sold his shop to pursue his next stage of his career.
Training and coaching other shop owners to achieve their dreams has been a passion of Vic’s even when he was running his own shop.
Every shop owner will have a different dream, it could be spending time with family, traveling or giving back to others; you never know what an individual’s dream might be. Tarasik’s desire is to help shop owners to achieve what he has…success today that translates to life after the shop.
What Shop Owner Coach focuses on is the core of the shop, which is the owner. Developing and implementation of a repair shop’s best practices, leadership development of the owner and life after the shop.

Brian Cruickshank
Partner, Schwartz Advisors
Brian Cruickshank is an experienced motor vehicle aftermarket executive whose 28-year aftermarket career has been focused on strategy, marketing and communications. As a close observer of aftermarket trends, he is often asked to speak on aftermarket topics and trends at national and international industry events.
He is the former Editor-in-Chief of several prominent national aftermarket publications, including Underhood Service, Counterman and AftermarketNews, as well as the former Executive Director of the University of the Aftermarket at Northwood University. He served on the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) Board of Governors from 2008-2022 and was the recipient of numerous industry awards, including the AWDA Pursuit of Excellence, Mort Schwartz Excellence in Education Award, AIA Young Executive of the Year and the Northwood University Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award. He currently serves on the California Automotive Wholesale Association (CAWA) Board of Directors.
Military service in the United States Marine Corps preceded undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University and an aftermarket-focused executive MBA from Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management.
Lisa Foshee
Senior VP, Government Affairs and General Counsel, Auto Care Association
Lisa Foshee is the Senior Vice President, Government Affairs and General Counsel at Auto Care Association. In this role, she provides leadership and direction for the association’s federal and state legislative and regulatory efforts. These efforts
include educating legislators on issues of importance to Auto Care Association members; building grassroots support among members and consumers for the association’s legislative and regulatory objectives; informing and updating members on regulatory
and legislative developments important to their business; and assisting members with federal, state and local law compliance.
Lisa graduated from The University of Virginia in 1989 and UVA Law School in 1992. Prior to joining
the Auto Care Association, Lisa worked at AT&T, where she represented AT&T’s Internet of Things group (focusing on AT&T’s relationships with automotive OEMs) and advised the Company on antitrust and regulatory matters.
Earlier in her career, she worked in private practice as a corporate litigator for 5 years and spent a year working for the UVA Athletic Department as an academic advisor to the men’s basketball team.
Lisa has lived in Atlanta,
Georgia since 1993 but grew up in McLean, Virginia and attended Langley High School. She is a loyal fan of the World Champion Atlanta Braves and all things UVA sports. Outside the office, you'll find Lisa enjoying time with her family,
including her husband, her two college-age children (William and Samantha) and her two dogs. Lisa enjoys running, tennis, pickleball and wakeboarding.
