MBE Group, senior account executive, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Briefly describe your journey to the aftermarket.

“When I started at MBE Group (formerly Marx Group) five-and-a-half years ago, I had no idea how many incredible people, events and opportunities I would be exposed to due to being an active member of the aftermarket community. What I so wrongly thought was a job just marketing car parts to distributors, shop owners and technicians has truly become one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Getting to know techs, suppliers, shop owners and distributors through our industry events—for the people that they are—has not only made me better at my job, but a better listener, a more effective communicator and a louder cheerleader for all those working in and supporting the aftermarket industry.”

What's your favorite networking icebreaker?

“If you could teach a class on one thing, what would it be, and why?”

Why do you believe in YANG?

“YANG has helped me make meaningful connections with so many people in the industry at a similar stage in career development and with similar career goals. The community is a fantastic place to begin building a professional network and is an organization I wholeheartedly recommend to my junior team members when they are ready to take their careers to the next level.”
