Highlighting the 2022 Woman of the Year Recipient: Megan Dineff

by Zoi' Holloway

How many years have you been in the auto care industry?

Megan Dineff

12 years

What are your "words to live by" or motto?

It’s more of a family motto. Be Silly, Be Happy, Be Kind.  It covers all situations!

Where did you receive your undergraduate degree? What did you study?

University of Phoenix; Public and nonprofit administration.

How did you get your start in the auto care industry?

As many of us are, I was born into it. I started pulling weeds in the parking lot and painting fences, cleaning loaner cars and returning pop cans.

How long have you been an Auto Care Association member?

Since 2017

What do you feel are the rewards for being a part of the association/auto care industry?

We have met amazing people who have become valuable resources and friends. I’ve been able to serve on the council of YANG and as a champion for WiAC.

Describe the current duties and responsibilities in your role as VP of Customer Experience.

My role as VP of Customer Experience has customers as my number one priority. I answer calls, make appointments, service advise…the list goes on! When customers are in the office, I meet and talk with them and their families. I manage all social media, google and our website. I serve as an HR assistant, make sure my techs have what they need and do whatever else is needed.

What other organizations, if any, are you involved in?

I am a board member of Flames Sports in Grand Rapids, MI.

If you weren't in the auto care industry, what would you be doing?

Something in the nonprofit sector.

What do you do in your spare time?

Play games with my kids, watch my son play travel baseball and my husband coach the team.  I love reading and I try new hobbies regularly though I don’t have great follow through with them. Ha!

Professionally speaking, what are your long-term goals?

I hope to keep learning and growing in the auto care industry.  I love my job and can’t ever see myself working anywhere else.  I have lunch with my parents every day, I am stretched and challenged to try things outside of my comfort zone and I get to help others. I love where I’m at.

Please explain how your company is doing business internationally. (If applicable)

Sometimes we fix cars from Canada? Ha!

What city/state where you work?

Grand Rapids, Michigan
