YANG Announces Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) Donation

by Mary Ieng, Community Engagement Manger, Auto Care Association

The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG), an Auto Care Association community of young industry professionals under the age of 40, is proud to support the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) and its mission to providing critical support to industry members and their family during personal crises as an ongoing commitment. The YANG community is pleased to announce a continued contribution of $7,500 to AACF once again. The YANG community is honored to help raise funds throughout the year in support of AACF's mission to help shape the automotive aftermarket industry.

“Our partnership with AACF is evolving into something much bigger than financial support,” said Tanya Hunt, chair, YANG. “We’ve really enjoyed growing that relationship through not only our annual donation, but also by providing a dedicated liaison and having more intentional conversations around how the under-40 community can become more involved and engaged. We are also proud champions of the AACF Aftermarket Hearts Giving Circle campaign and are focused on amplifying awareness and driving engagement around AACF’s mission—supporting individuals and families in our industry when they need it most and reinforcing what makes this industry so strong: taking care of our own.”

In addition, donations for the AACF were raised through the YANG community’s #YANGGivesBack fundraising campaign starting in April with the new “AACF Aftermarket Hearts Giving Circle”. For a small recurring donation to AACF, contributors can join a a growing community of industry professionals who are committed to giving back and will receive an exclusive YANG Aftermarket Hearts lapel pin as a symbol of their impact. The campaign operates year-round and encourages donors to support those in need within the automotive aftermarket industry with proceeds going to AACF. The lapel pins promoting the #YANGGivesBack campaign are available at various Auto Care Association in-person events and at select YANG regional meet-up events.

"We're so thankful for the YANG community and the energy they continue to bring to our mission," said John Kairys, Executive Director of AACF. "Their support isn't just about the donation. It's about building a community of young professionals who genuinely care about helping the people behind this industry. Seeing them embrace initiatives like Aftermarket Hearts and encourage others to get involved reflects a lot of hope for our industry's future.  Together, we're making sure that when someone in our aftermarket family needs help, we're quick to respond."

The AACF was founded in 1959 to assist automotive aftermarket members and their families who, due to catastrophic illness or a terrible accident, have exhausted all other available resources in maintaining a reasonable existence.
