    Speaker:

    Tim Shipley
    Chief Commercial Officer, Highline Warren

As Highline Warren’s Chief Commercial Officer, Tim Shipley is responsible for the company’s sales strategy, business development, sales enablement, category management, and customer operations. He oversees the company’s go-to-market plans across retail, aftermarket and installer channels with a relentless focus on putting the customer at the center of all the company does.

Tim joined Highline Aftermarket as chief commercial officer in 2017. In his role, he managed sales, marketing and category management. When the company combined with Warren Distribution, he maintained his role. Tim’s more than 25 years of experience have enabled him to scale Highline Warren’s commercial outcomes, including the creation of a global sourcing capability and scaling of our proprietary product portfolio to a number-one position across washer fluid, branded performance chemicals, and filtration.

He has extensive experience building winning teams and leading the development and execution of successful multichannel growth plans for both manufacturing and distribution businesses. With a strong customer orientation, he’s guided globally recognized brands as well as large private label portfolios. Tim played a pivotal role in creating Highline Aftermarket, transforming 12 individually managed regional businesses into a single company with a national footprint and assortment. The company doubled its sales in nearly four years before combining with Warren Distribution.

Prior to joining Highline Warren, Tim was the vice president of North American sales and marketing for global automotive-fluids manufacturer Prestone. There, he was responsible for driving brand strategy and customer engagement for the number-one brand in antifreeze, brake fluid and power steering fluid. Hired after Prestone was acquired by private-equity firm Rank Group, Tim built a team that quickly drove transformational growth in earnings, market share, and entry into new markets like heavy-duty.

Before his automotive experience, Tim held various product marketing leadership positions with multiple manufacturers, including Newell Brands and Fellowes, where he led more than 1,000 products from concept to commercialization while improving overall profitability through brand building, global sourcing and joint customer business plans.

Tim is a dedicated advocate for the automotive aftermarket industry, actively serving in multiple strategic roles. He recently completed a three-year term on the Auto Care Association’s (ACA) Market Intelligence Committee and currently contributes as a member of ACA’s Finance Committee. In addition, he is an engaged member of the Automotive Sales Council, a distinguished group of senior sales and marketing executives driving innovation and growth across the industry.

Tim is a graduate of Drake University and holds an MBA from Northern Illinois University.

He, his wife and their three children live in Schaumburg, Illinois.
