Donovan Ringo Joins Auto Care Association as Director of State Affairs, Grassroots
BETHESDA, Md. – Jan. 12, 2026 – The Auto Care Association today announced the addition of Donovan Ringo to the organization as director of state affairs and grassroots. In his role, Mr. Ringo will lead efforts to elevate industry voices, strengthen member engagement and ensure public policy reflects the real-world experiences of Auto Care Association members and the automotive aftermarket.
Mr. Ringo brings a career shaped by listening, problem-solving and connecting people to opportunity. He began his professional journey at The Home Depot, gaining firsthand experience in how frontline teams, customers and local communities work together to achieve shared goals.
Later joining NAPA in its emerging technologies group, Mr. Ringo helped guide the automotive aftermarket through the growing shift toward electric vehicles and hybrids. His work focused on ensuring technicians, shop owners and small businesses were equipped to adapt and thrive as the industry evolved.
His career continued into workforce development and strategic marketing, where he built partnerships with schools, educators and training programs to connect students with meaningful careers in the skilled trades and strengthen the industry’s talent pipeline.
“I’m excited to work alongside members to elevate their stories, strengthen grassroots engagement and help shape policies that create opportunity and long-term growth for our industry,” said Mr. Ringo.
In his new role, Mr. Ringo will focus on expanding grassroots advocacy efforts, building relationships across the industry and amplifying member perspectives in policy discussions at the state and federal levels.
