Auto Care Association’s TrendLens® Data Platform Expands Access to Factbook’s Global Aftermarket Industry Data

December 17, 2025

BETHESDA, Md. – Dec. 17, 2025 – The Auto Care Association today announced new updates to its TrendLens® data platform, making it easier for users to access and explore global industry data from the Auto Care Factbook report. The enhancements give auto care professionals quicker, more flexible ways to understand international market trends and to turn data into insights they can use. TrendLens® now includes expanded access to Factbook global data, fully integrated into the platform through two interactive views designed to support different types of analysis.

Multi-country comparison view
The multi-country comparison view allows users to see how countries stack up against one another for a single metric and year. Data is displayed on an interactive map, where larger values appear as larger circles, making it easy to spot differences at a glance. Users can sort tables, zoom in for more detail and download selected datasets or complete data series in CSV file format.

Single-country trend view
The single-country trend view focuses on year-over-year changes within a specific country. Interactive line charts show percentage changes over time, helping users quickly identify shifts in key indicators such as labor force data, vehicle registrations and other market trends.

“TrendLens® is designed to help users move from data to insight quickly,” said Michael Chung, senior director, market intelligence, Auto Care Association. “With these updates, TrendLens® continues to help the auto care industry cut through complex data and gain a clearer picture of where global markets are headed.”

All global data in TrendLens® is updated annually and sourced from trusted providers, including S&P Global Mobility, the United States International Trade Commission and the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.
