Auto Care Association to Host Webinar Examining Challenges with Ocean Shipping

Bethesda, Md. – August 11, 2022 – The Auto Care Association will host a live webinar2022 Ocean Shipping_Webinar this month to examine the current challenges with ocean shipping and share insights to prepare for what is ahead. The “Ocean Shipping Now and Looking Forward” webinar will take place on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. EDT.

In response to importers continuing to experience disruptions and challenges with freight movement due to a range of issues, four experts will share their take on the challenges and how aftermarket companies can adapt.

Steve Hughes, President and CEO, HCS International, will moderate a discussion with Dr. Noel Hacegaba, Deputy Executive Director, Administration and Operations for the Port of Long Beach, California; Weston LaBar, Head of Strategy for Cargomatic; and Peter Tirschwell, Vice President, Maritime, Trade & Supply Chain, S&P Global, Market Intelligence.

This webinar will include:

  • An overview by the Journal of Commerce/S&P Global
  • Market Intelligence on the current state of ocean shipping
  • Firsthand perspective of current port challenges
  • A look at the current issues related to drayage (trucking)
  • A panel discussion on what to expect now and looking forward
