Letter from YANG Chair, Brandon Crenshaw

Hello YANG Community,

Many of you reading probably have no idea who I am, so let's start there! I'm Brandon Crenshaw, your YANG chair, and I look forward to connecting with more of you.

For those who know me, you know I enjoy a good conversation and finding ways to continuously improve how things are done. That's the mindset I'm bringing to YANG as we build on the incredible foundation of past leaders and volunteers, while pushing ourselves to make an even greater impact.

I believe YANG's greatest opportunity isn't simply growing our membership. It's growing the impact our members have on one another, their organizations and the future of the automotive aftermarket.

That vision was front and center during our recent Fall Leadership Days, where we engaged with the Auto Care Association Board of Directors and hosted an open dialogue with attendees. We encouraged honest feedback, fresh perspectives and challenges to our thinking as we explore how YANG can contribute more meaningfully to our industry's future (thanks to all who attended in Louisville).

Our council focus is on strengthening personal and professional development, expanding mentorship and creating opportunities for greater collaboration and involvement across our industry at all levels. But we (the YANG Council) can't and shouldn't define that direction alone.

So, here's my ask: challenge us! What are we doing well? Where can we improve? What opportunities are we missing? Connect with me on LinkedIn or reach out to any of our council members. We'd love to hear your ideas and turn those conversations into action.

Be sure to check out the upcoming opportunities below, including our AAPEX Reception, YANG Professional Series and mentorship programs. There's so much happening that we couldn't possibly fit it all into one newsletter. Maybe it's time for a little LinkedIn series highlighting everything we're working on... I may have just volunteered the entire council for something!

This is your community, and your voice should help shape its future.

Looking forward to connecting!

Brandon Crenshaw
