Over 40 years! It is a magical industry!
What are your “words to live by” or motto?
We learn and grow together! Life and business are a team sport!
How did you get your start in the auto care industry?
I was hired by Monroe Auto Equipment Company in Monroe, Mich., which had a very people-oriented development culture.
What do you find to be the biggest issue facing the auto care industry today?
Our ability to recruit and retain young talent – and build career paths. What inspired you to contribute to the auto care industry in an educational/informative capacity?
The wonderful teachers I had early in life. They inspired me to teach and share my experiences and passion for people and our industry.
What has been the biggest reward you’ve seen from your efforts to promote advanced education or training in our industry?
To witness the professionals I coach and guide utilize their God-given talents, professionally and personally.
What does winning the 2022 Mort Schwartz Excellence in Education Award mean to you?
I am both honored and humbled. Mort Schwartz is a gentleman I respect and value, a man of character, integrity, and a builder of people and organizations – true class!
