ACES Light Duty / Powersports VCdb Price Change Notification

The Association and the Standards Team are committed to delivering the best, and we are so proud of the progress we’ve made over the last few years. From the significant re-platforming project to getting data into the VCdb more quickly to getting more in-depth ACES coverage in Powersports, off-road equipment, and Mexico light duty, we continue to increase the value of the data you use every day to power your business's content.

We are proud to be your partner and proud to serve this industry! To ensure we can continue to increase coverage and grow the industry resources and databases, we are introducing an adjustment to our pricing structure and a price increase to the VCdb Light Duty subscription.

Based on customer feedback, we are introducing a tiered pricing model similar to what you see in our Medium/Heavy Duty, and Product Attributes subscriptions. We’ve heard from many of you who appreciate this structure and feel that it provides a fairer distribution of support. You can view the updated rates and structure here: https://www.autocare.org/what-we-do/technology/subscriptions/. Subscribers will see the adjustment in future renewal notices.

This adjustment will enable us to continue to provide the quality and breadth of service you depend on every day. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Taylor Mitchell at taylor.mitchell@autocare.org.

We look forward to a productive 2019 with you!

Qdb - Change is good. Change log is better!

Qdb Change Log

Last month (November) marked the beginning of the 90-day notification window (ending February 11, 2019) for the NEW Qdb Change logs. We will be providing the Qdb change log tables in the end of month publication for February 2019. The new Qdb change log tables follow the same structure as the VCdb change log tables.

Here is the link to the updated Qdb ER Diagram:

autocareqdberd_20181008-pdf

Click below to download the sample Qdb with the change log tables. We have provided four sample formats: Access, MySQL, SQL Server and ASCII. Note this is only a sample of the Qdb for structure review. The Qdb change logs will be automatically included as part of your VCdb Light Duty & Powersports and/or VCdb MD/HD subscriptions.

Zip file contains sample files Access, MySQL, SQL Server and ASCII which can be downloaded here:

We have over 40 delete change requests that will be released when the change log is implemented in the February 2019 publication.

Recap

Use the Qdb sample change log file to get a head start this coming month to see how you can incorporate the Qdb Change logs into your workflow.

If you have questions about the change log structure or the sample files. Please comment below or email technology@autocare.org with your questions.
