today announced the release of its new report, “Collision Repair Trends: Industry Statistics and Analysis
,” which delves into the latest data on the collision repair industry. The report aggregates industry sources available from government entities, independent research supplier databases and the Auto Care Association’s internal research.

is now accepting applications for awards honoring educational strides and achievements in the auto care industry, through the Mort Schwartz Excellence in Education Award and the Auto Care Career and Education (ACE) Award. All Auto Care Association member companies and employees are eligible to participate. Award winners will be selected by the Auto Care Association Education Committee, and presented during the 2018 Fall Leadership Days, Sept. 6, 2018, in Austin, Texas.
BETHESDA, Md. – April 12, 2018 – The Auto Care Association joined with more than 100 trade groups yesterday to express concern to Congress regarding the potential impact of the Trump Administration’s decision to use tariffs to address China’s unfair trade practices. In the letter addressed to the Chair and ranking member of the House Ways and Means Committee
, the trade groups stated their agreement that China’s “ongoing intellectual property rights violations, forced technology transfers and state intervention harm U.S. companies, workers, consumer and our competitiveness.” The letter also stated that, “the proposed tariff list, and escalating tariff threats made by the administration, however, will not effectively advance our shared goal of changing these harmful Chinese practices.”
BETHESDA, Md. – April 11, 2018 – The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG), a community of the Auto Care Association, has announced its latest lineup of Regional Meet-Up events for the 2018 Q2 period. The YANG Regional Meet-Up events serve as a great opportunity for young professional leaders in the auto care industry to connect and socialize with their industry peers on a localized level.
Since its creation in 2015, the Regional Meet-Up program has produced more than 49 meet-up events, connecting more than 1,000 young auto care industry professionals. Event attendance is free and open to members and non-members of YANG under the age of 40.
BETHESDA, Md. – April 10, 2018 – Today in a hearing before the U.S. Copyright Office in Washington, D.C., Auto Care Association
Senior Vice President for Regulatory and Government Affairs, Aaron Lowe, testified in support of the association’s petition to expand the current exemption for consumers under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The current exemption allows access to encrypted software for the purposes of repair for car owners only. The association previously petitioned in September to expand the consumer exemption to also include entities that provide services on behalf of car owners, including tool manufacturers and repair shops.
