I was excited to see how well ACPAC, formerly AAPAC, did in 2014. The PAC raised more than $90,000 from 195 contributors, making it the best year ever. I’m often asked, “Why does the Auto Care Association have a PAC?”
While the dust has settled on yet another AAPEX in Las Vegas (my 40th
to be exact), the buzz about the show and events surrounding it has not diminished.
It was just six months ago that we officially changed our name from the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association to the Auto Care Association, part of a comprehensive rebranding initiative.
I am very excited about the recent release of the Auto Care Association’s first-of-its-kind study on the depth and breadth and impact of e-tailing in the auto care industry.
Since last year you’ve been hearing that the Auto Care Association is stepping up its international initiatives so that we can better position our members to be competitive in an increasingly global marketplace.
The month of May is widely celebrated across the
United States as “World Trade Month.” Around the country, state and local governments,
non-profit organizations and private sector entities supported events to help
more American companies engage and succeed in the global marketplace.
So, does our
industry need or want another trade show?
