BETHESDA, Md. – November 20, 2019 – The Auto Care Association, in partnership with the International Trade Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service, hosted its annual International Matchmaking Program at AAPEX 2019. The initiative is part of an award the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce to help the automotive aftermarket industry increase exports.

The program successfully connected suppliers with a select group of international buyers during AAPEX. The Auto Care Association matched participants’ buying and product interests and scheduled one-on-one meetings on Nov. 5-6 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

“I was greatly surprised by the quality of the prospects I met during this event,” said Jose L. Alonso, director of global sales, Murray Corporation, an AAPEX exhibitor. “For anyone who is trying to develop international business, this event is the source you need to start networking and promoting your company, products and services. I firmly believe that I have earned three new customers interested in partnering with Murray Corporation to promote our products locally. In my opinion, this is a highly recommended program. It helps you meet new customers and uncover new clients and business opportunities. I am looking forward to participating next year.”

The Auto Care Association has an ever-increasing presence in the international automotive community, identifying and promoting international business opportunities for its members.
