A coast-to-coast network of 500,000 independent manufacturers, distributors, parts stores and repair shops demand technology that moves as fast as business does. The Auto Care Association develops and maintains technology standards and best practices that help keep our supply chains running smoothly and our customers satisfied.
Utilization of these technology standards and best practices allows the auto care industry to pool resources and leverage economies of scale. For example, Association members can pool their resources through the Association to collect and organize new vehicle research. By pooling resources through the Association, the data is more accessible and affordable to each industry player. This pooled research effort provides an economy of scale for all subscribers to the Association’s data and keeps the data used by the industry under management of a non-profit, non-partisan entity.
The Association manages technology products under the guidance of the Technology Standards Committee (TSC). The TSC is comprised of volunteer leaders who provide input and guidance to the association, and act as an industry sounding board.
