BETHESDA, Md. – March 28, 2018 – Auto Care Association President and CEO Bill Hanvey participated in the National Association of Workforce Boards’ “The Forum 2018” annual conference yesterday to discuss solutions to the challenges presently facing major industries in the United States. The association joined several representatives of from the nation’s largest employment sectors to address what employers can do to fill the current skills gap between employees and employers.

Registration Now Open for 2018 Paint, Body and Equipment Specialists Conference

BETHESDA, Md. – March 13, 2018 – The Auto Care Association today announced it has opened registration for its 2018 Paint, Body and Equipment Specialists (PBES) Conference. The two-and-a-half day conference will be held on May 16-18 at the Fairmont Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas.

 

The PBES Conference is an annual educational event that brings together paint, body and equipment industry leaders of the automotive aftermarket. The 2018 conference will focus on the theme of “Leverage Disruption” and provide attendees with the latest educational resources and insights on how to leverage disruption to expand their businesses. 

Young Auto Care Network Group Accepting Speaker Applications for New Rapid-Fire Presentations at 2018 Leadership Conference

BETHESDA, Md. – March 7, 2018 – The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG), a community of the Auto Care Association, today announced it is accepting speaker applications for its new “Five for Five” rapid-fire style presentations feature of the 2018 YANG Leadership Conference. The annual conference is on May 11-12 in Atlanta, Ga.

The YANG Leadership Conference is catered to the under-40 group of young professionals in the auto care industry and provides a forum for attendees to enhance leadership skills, sharpen global perspective of the industry and develop new relationships with peers.

Auto Care Association Hosts Technology Standards Conference in Santiago, Chile

BETHESDA, MD – August 25, 2017 – On Aug. 22, 2017, the Auto Care Association hosted a technology standards conference in Santiago, Chile, the second in a series of technical missions to key Latin American countries as part of the export promotion award the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce. The conference, attended by more than 60 local auto care industry executives and government officials, focused on the processes around standards development and maintenance.
