Auto Care Careers Now Accepting Applications for Internship Grants

BETHESDA, Md. – Dec. 14, 2017 – Auto Care Careers, a program administered by the Auto Care Association, is now accepting applications for the 2018 Auto Care Careers Internship Grant program. This annual program provides financial support for students pursuing internships across the country to gain valuable, real-world education in a variety of careers throughout the auto care industry.

 

The Auto Care Careers Internship Grant is for college students majoring in programs with direct application to the auto care industry, including engineering, business, communication and information technology (IT). The fund, underwritten by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), a segment community of the Auto Care Association, and the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, was created to help ease the financial burden of temporary relocation for students who pursue internships in locations more than 100 miles from their permanent address.

Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN) Now Accepting Submissions for Annual Content Excellence Awards

BETHESDA, Md. – December 11, 2017– The Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN), a community of the Auto Care Association, today announced it is accepting entries for the ACPN Content Excellence Awards. The award ceremony will take place at the 45th annual ACPN Knowledge Exchange Conference on April 15 – 18, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel.

ACPN is a professional society comprised of company representatives engaged in the research, management, production and distribution of automotive content. The Content Excellence Awards recognize the best examples of print and electronic cataloging in the auto care industry.

Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) Announces 2018 Leadership Conference Details

BETHESDA, Md. – December 6, 2017– The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG), a community of the Auto Care Association, is hosting the 2018 YANG Leadership Conference, May 11-12 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Atlanta, Ga. The conference takes place in conjunction with the Auto Care Association Spring Leadership Days event and is designed for young professionals under the age of 40 in the auto care industry. 

The conference provides seven hours of education designed to enhance leadership skills, to sharpen global perspective of the auto care industry and to develop relationships with peers. Attendees are eligible to receive CEU credits toward their AAP/MAAP designation from the University of the Aftermarket.

Auto Care Association Announces New Director, Data Innovation

BETHESDA, Md. – December 5, 2017– The Auto Care Association today announced the addition of Daniel Zenko as director, data innovation under its strategic development department. Zenko brings nearly two decades of expertise in data analysis and enterprise research to the association, having most recently served as the senior director of research operations at RainKing Solutions for more than 10 years.
