BETHESDA, Md. – November 28, 2017 – Today, the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), a community of the Auto Care Association, announced its newest governors following the group’s 2017 Annual Business and Education Conference at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
As of Nov. 2, Ashlee Arnold, vice president, Arnold Oil Company, Austin, Texas; Arnoldo Ventura, commercial manager, Frontera Radiators & Parts Inc., El Paso, Texas; Garry Castles, president, W M Automotive Warehouse, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas; and Dan Hanson Jr., executive vice president, Hanson Distributing Company, Azusa, Calif., are the newest members to be officially welcomed into the AWDA’s Council of Governors.
Al Gaspar, industry icon and former president and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), passed away at his home in Cave Creek, Ariz. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017.

BETHESDA, Md. – November 27, 2017 – Today, the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), a community of the Auto Care Association, announced the election of several new officers to the association’s executive committee who began their terms on Nov. 3.
Mauro Cifelli, vice president, sales and marketing, Vast-Auto Distribution Ltd., Montreal Quebec, has been named AWDA’s vice chairman. Previously, Cifelli served as Secretary of AWDA and as a member of the Council of Governors. Cifelli replaces out-going vice chairman, Don Bickle, Jr., president, Warehouse Inc., Hays, Kan.
BETHESDA, Md. – November 17, 2017 – Today, the Auto Care Association announced it will be hosting a new webinar on Dec. 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. EST, discussing the topic of mystery shopping and the benefits it can bring to businesses across the auto care supply chain, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers and repair shops.
The hour-long webinar will be presented by Carl Philips, vice president, sales and marketing, Mystery Shopper Services, a division of Business Evaluation Services.
BETHESDA, Md. – November 16, 2017 – The Auto Care Association has announced a new trade mission to Costa Rica on May 21 – 22, 2018 as part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) award the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce to support export promotion projects in Latin America.
The Costa Rica trade mission is a business development opportunity designed to assist U.S. companies in the automotive industry with gaining first-hand market information and meeting with potential clients and partners, which are pre-screened to match participants’ specific business objectives.
