Auto Care Association, IHS Markit Announce Fifth Webinar in Industry Analysis Webinar Series

BETHESDA, MD – November 16, 2016 – The Auto Care Association and IHS Markit, the deepest sources of information, analytics and expertise forging solutions that shape the automotive aftermarket, have announced the fifth webinar in the Industry Analysis Webinar Series featuring experts on key issues currently facing the industry. The fifth webinar, “Commercial Industry Overview from IHS Markit: Inside the Numbers,” will be presented by Gary Meteer, senior director, commercial solutions, IHS Markit, on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. ET.

Meteer will give an overview of IHS Markit’s commercial vehicle analysis based on both new vehicle registrations and vehicles in operation. The overview will focus on vehicles registered to businesses and the type of trends that are followed by gross vehicle weight (GVW), vehicle type and brands. Highlights also will include commercial vehicle activity by geographic area. 

The webinar will conclude with an overview of IHS Markit’s forecast for commercial vehicles in both the United States and Canada, and a short review of the recently-announced regulations for heavy-duty fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas (GHG) standards.
